Working
with Images
(5)
Why does my computer run out of memory or hang when trying
to convert some images?
The
problem with the Image Conversion is that it is very large,
anything over 1800 pixels wide may cause the system to slow
down and run out of memory. To work around the problem you
will need to scale the image down. Follow these instructions:-
1) Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint
2) Load in the image
3) Select Image->Stretch/Skew
4) Type 50% into both the Stretch fields, then press OK. This
will scale the design without any noticeable loss to the quality
of the design. Now save the file back.
